Introduction to the course

STID 1103 Computer Application in Management contains 11 topics in syllabus. This includes hardware, software, webpage development, spreadsheet, project management, graphic design and etc. Nowadays, everyone needs computer applications in daily life. Students will able to develop specific skills, knowledge and understanding of computer-based technology in different fields. In addition to recognize the current and the emergence of information and communication technologies.

Objectives

  • Acquire basic knowledge on current ICT technology

  • Develop students' basic information technology skills with overview of hardware, software, communication & network technology

  • Develop students basic computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet, database package & graphical presentation

  • Develop competency in using several management related applications which are popular among the professionals and entrepreneurs
